Join the The DC Fashion Council, The DC Fashionista Group and Artist Lounge.com for Fashion Freedom 2007 in Washington, DC.

Fashion Freedom is an all day peaceful fashion demonstration showcasing the talent of Fashion Designers, Hair Stylists, Make-Up Artists, Runway Models along with fashion/ beauty business owners and DC residents.

The purpose of Fashion Freedom is to get the Bill 17-173 out of the Committee on Economic Development and for the City Council members to vote and pass the Bill, as well as Mayor Fenty to implement and appropriate budget to create the Commission on Fashion Arts and Events.

The goal of The Commission on Fashion Arts and Events is to brand DC as a fashion destination, create a fashion corridor and enhance the economic development of the fashion industry.

This event is for you—the fashion community and DC residents. The city officials need to see your talents and see that the fashion community in Washington, DC exists and is worthy of support and funding.
The Speakers of the demonstration will include industry leaders, city officials, fashion designers, retailers, fashion schools and beauty industry representatives.

We encourage you to take a few minutes of your day during lunch or after work and join us at Freedom Plaza to support our cause.

VA Fashion Week

VA Fashion Week is almost here! There will be an opening party on November 9th and a fashion show focusing on what is Hot in VA Boutiques. The event kicks off at 7pm and takes place at Club Mojo @ Jillians. Virginia Beach will host the Lia Sophia Jewelry Show and in Richmond it will be Wearable Art X @ 1708 Gallery Richmond. We close this exciting week with the Designer Showcase at the Contemporary Art Center in Virginia Beach. The 2007 Women's Entrepreneurs Expo was a hit! The sold out event was hosted at the Waterford in Springfield, VA. Impulse Design Group, Inc. was proud to be an exhibitor along with designer of the program guide for the 3rd year. The Women's Business Center, ran by Barbara Wrigley is a place unlike any other. This center provides a unique setting for those that dream of starting a business. It is a place to seek counseling, support, education, networking and friendship in the business world.
